My Approach

Brief psychoanalysis is a therapeutic modality that is based on the same foundation as traditional psychoanalysis — listening to the unconscious — but with a proposal for a more defined time and direction. Instead of an indefinite process in time, it is structured around a focus: a central conflict that emerges from the patient's current suffering and can be worked on in a concentrated way.

This approach is especially suitable for those who:

  • lives under constant pressure at work;

  • faces family or school conflicts;

  • goes through important transitions, such as changing country, career or life stage;

  • feel anxious, sad, angry or emotionally confused without fully understanding why;

  • is a teenager and needs to find words for what is difficult to name.

In brief psychoanalysis, the therapeutic bond is built firmly and with acceptance, without rushing — but also without unnecessary prolongations. Each session is a space for elaboration and discovery, where the patient is invited to recognize his or her feelings, limits, and possibilities. The analyst's role is more active, helping to circumscribe the conflict and bring to consciousness the contents that are often behind the symptoms.

This approach is particularly effective for:

  • professionals seeking clarity when faced with emotional impasses related to work;

  • teenagers who intensely experience identity transformations;

  • bilingual children who grow up between languages and cultures and face emotional challenges related to belonging;

  • mothers and fathers who want to help their children get through difficult times, without premature medication or judgment.

Brief psychoanalysis does not mean superficiality — it means commitment to what matters now. It is a possible, profound and transformative path.
